What could be better than a soft summer evening outdoors experiencing live music. We think not much and so every summer the Hilliard Arts Council hosts a Sunday evening concert series featuring an eclectic mix of performers and music styles. This concert will be held at the Norwich Pavilion at Weaver Park The concert is free to the public and begins at 7pm (we move inside the Hilliard Civic and Cultural Arts Center if the weather’s bad).
The Hilliard Community Band was formed by John Crumley, longstanding Hilliard Band Director and Hilliard institution after retiring as a music educator at Hilliard High School in the mid-1990s. Sadly, John is no longer with us, but his legacy lives on as his grandson, Nathan Graham, continues to conduct the band. The concert band, made up of over 50 volunteer musicians in the Hilliard Area, going strong now for over 25 years, performs at various venues and events over the course of the summer. I
This year the Summer Concert Series is made possible in part due to the generous support of Coffee Connections, Raising Cain’s, Rotary Club of Hilliard, Blue Oak Patio and Landscape and Westwood Collective
