Class Description: In this class you will learn the basic techniques of working with stained glass and create this beautiful triangle sun-catcher to display in your home or give as a gift. Each sun-catcher includes a beveled piece and different choices of colored glass to help create a unique piece of art. The cost includes personal instruction and all the supplies needed to make one sun-catcher.

About the Instructor: Jonelle Newman, founder of La Petite Pomme Designs, is a local artist born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. Active in the arts from a young age, she won a chalk drawing contest at the old Clark County Public Library when she was eight years old. Took many art classes offered at Shawnee High School. While in her youth, took many art classes, including painting, drawing, and pottery classes at the Springfield Art Museum. While working at Gates Brother’s Glass Shop while in college, she discovered the beauty of glass, and enrolled in stained glass classes At the Springfield Art museum. Currently, Jonelle is a middle school ELA teacher, and incorporates art into lessons as much as possible. Combining art and education has spilled over into art classes that she teaches around the central Ohio area.
