As you celebrate the holidays this year, make them extra special by experiencing our holiday programming.  There are many opportunities available.

A Christmas Carol
Head to the Hilliard Civic and Cultural Arts Center on Friday, December 10 at 7:00pm or Saturday December 11 at 11:00am, 2:00pm, or 7:00pm for our 25th annual performance of this Dickens’ holiday classic.  Admission is a monetary contribution, canned goods or new, unwrapped toys – all supporting the Hilliard Food Pantry and Firefighters for Kids. COVID vaccinations or recent negative test results along with masks are required for entrance.

The Messiah
With a tradition going back 45 years,  please join the Hilliard Community Chorus and Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Logan W. Fletcher, for a performance of Handel’s Messiah.  Featuring the talents of  soloists Martha Duersten-Pettit, Faith Fullen, Tim Byrer, and Mikey Morris, the work will be performed at St, John Lutheran Church, 6135 Rings Rd at 3:30pm on December 19.  A free will offering will be collected at the conclusion of the concert.  For a special treat, come a bit early – pre concert holiday music will be be performed by the Hilliard Youth Chorus beginning at 3:00om. COVID vaccinations, recent negative test results and masks are strongly encouraged for this event. 

Hilliard Youth Chorus
After a year of pandemic-created silence, our Youth Chorus is thrilled to be sharing their love of singing with the community once again.  You will be able to find them at a number of holiday-themed events throughout the month:

  • Hilliard Tree Lighting Festival, Sunday December 5 at 4:30pm at Hilliard Station Park.
  • Holiday Concert, Saturday December 11 at 1:00pm at the HIlliard Civic and Cultural Arts Center (stay after and enjoy a performance of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol at 2:00pm!). Vaccinations or negative test results as well as masks required for this event.
  • Santa at the Caboose, Sunday, December 12 at 3:00pm at the Hilliard Historic Village (near the Fairgrounds)
  • Special Holiday music prior to Hilliard Community Chorus performance of Handel’s Messiah, Sunday December 19 at 3:00pm at St. John Lutheran Church. Vaccinations or negative test results as well as masks strongly suggested for this event.
