Hilliard Community Chorus Messiah Rehearsals

We are currently recruiting singers (especially Tenors and Basses) to join the Hilliard Community Chorus for our annual performance of Handel’s Messiah. Rehearsals for this year’s performance  begin on Sunday, November 5th at 5:30 at Hilliard Presbyterian Church, 3600 Leap Rd, Hilliard, OH 4302, The Hilliard Community Chorus is a volunteer choir made up of over 30 community members united in their joy of singing. No audition is required.  Rehearsals will continue on Sundays up to the performance weekend.

A classic holiday tradition now in its 47th year produced by  the Hilliard Arts Council, Handel’s Messiah was the first ever event produced by Hilliard Arts Council. The concert will feature the Christmas Section of The Messiah, the most famous work by George Frederick Handel, a German-British Baroque composer who worked in the 1700s and is well known for his operas, oratorios, and concertos. Joining the Community Chorus for this concert will be the Hilliard Youth Chorus and a chamber orchestra from the Greater Columbus Community Orchestra. The concert will be held on Sunday, December 17 2023 at St. John Lutheran Church.

The Chorus currently performs several times a year and is conducted by Logan W. Fletcher, a trained choral conductor and Hilliard music teacher.

    1. Hi, for our annual production of A Christmas Carol, all proceeds will go to The Hilliard Food Pantry and Firefighters for Kids. Admission is at the door and is either a $5 or more financial contribution, 5 or more shelf-stable food items or one or more new, unopened toys!
