We are pleased to announce open auditions for our upcoming production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a children’s one act play based on the classic book by Roald Dahl, in August. This is one of our “For Kids, By Kids” productions and auditions are open to kids currently in grades 4-8 (rising). There are approximately 19 speaking roles available plus oompa loompas.
Audition dates/times: Friday August 11, 2023, 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday August 12, 2023 9:00-1:00 pm.

Please bring a completed audition form, a signed code of conduct as well as a photo and theater resume/CV (if you have one). Character descriptions and an Audition Q&A are available for download below.
Auditions will consist of a reading from the show. You should download and review the audition sides (available below or at the audition sign-up site) and be prepared to read any character described. Call backs will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 6:00-8:00pm at the Hilliard Civic and Cultural Arts Center. After casting has been completed there will be a mandatory cast parent meeting on Wednesday August 16, also held at the HCCAC. Performances are the weekends of September 22-24 and September 29-30 and October 1.
While COVID vaccinations and masking are not required for participation in this production, the Director may require masking and/or social distancing measures as needed if there are COVID outbreaks during the rehearsal period.
