Seeking Additional Leadership

Attention all arts enthusiasts and community advocates! The Hilliard Arts Council is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our non-profit 501(c)3 volunteer Board of Trustees

The Hilliard Arts Council has been promoting a thriving arts culture in Hilliard for over 40 years. We believe that healthy communities need the arts, and we strive to inspire, educate, and support the arts right here in our community. We do this through our own live performance productions, youth and family education programs, and by providing structural and fiscal support to local artists, students, and cultural organizations.

We are currently recruiting additional volunteer board members who are committed to our mission and willing to serve in an advisory and fiduciary trustee capacity. Board members will be expected to attend regular meetings (in person or virtually) every other month, and to actively participate in public-facing events hosted by the Arts Council. As a service board, Trustees actively engage in project work, dedicating an average of 5-20 hours per month depending on their chosen role and level of responsibility. Importantly, our Trustees serve as ambassadors for our organization–expanding our connections and relationships within the community and beyond.

Our current and past Trustees represent many sectors:  active or retired educators, working artists of all kinds, local business or nonprofit leaders, and public servants. We are enthusiastic about diverse perspectives united by a mission to develop local arts and culture!

Trustees need not be Hilliard residents, although a connection to the community is appreciated.  Service on Hilliard Arts Council’s Board of Trustees is without remuneration.

If this rewarding, challenging and fun role as a leader in the Hilliard community sounds interesting to  you, let’s have a conversation. Please share with us your resume and a brief statement of interest and your personal and/or professional connection to the arts by filling out the form below.
