Eugene Jerome, standing in for the author, is the narrator and central character. Dreaming of baseball and girls, Eugene must cope with the mundane existence of his family life in Brooklyn: formidable mother, overworked father, and his worldly older brother Stanley. On Golden Pond

We are thrilled to announce our spring 2018 show is On Golden Pond.  On Golden Pond is a 1979 play by Ernest Thompson. The plot focuses on aging couple Ethel and Norman Thayer, who spend each summer at their home on a lake called Golden Pond. During the year the story takes place, they are visited by daughter Chelsea with her fiancé Billy Ray and his son Billy Ray Jr. The play explores the often turbulent relationship the young woman shared with her father growing up, and the difficulties faced by a couple in the twilight years of a long marriage. Guys and Dolls

The Hilliard Arts Council is proud to announce our summer musical for 2017 – Guys and Dolls! Guys and Dolls features music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. It is based on “The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown” and “Blood Pressure” – two short stories by Damon Runyon, – and also borrows characters and plot elements from other Runyon stories – most notably “Pick the Winner”. The premiere on Broadway was in 1950. It ran for 1200 performances and won the Tony Award for Best Musical.
