Hilliard Arts Council is proud to bring another virtual production to our viewing public. Talking With is a series of 10 monologues for women. Overview: Talking With consists of 10 extraordinary monologues delivered by idiosyncratic characters that amuse, move and frighten—always speaking from the depth of their souls. TALKING WITH Auditions for the Hilliard Arts Council production of Talking With will be held virtually January 29-Feb. 6. Talking With is a series of monologues for 10 women. In order to audition, access the script linked below to choose the part you wish to audition for and record yourself performing it Script Link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iJfPzzPYFfgGiY4zLpRK4VX4FBUZ4HHq/view?usp=drivesdk Send the recording to Robin Brenneman at kenrob@columbus.rr.com. Once the play has been cast, Robin will work with each actor individually on zoom for a couple of weeks. Community Mural “Coloring the Path to Our Future.”

VIRTUAL UNVEILING LIVE EVENT! Stay tuned! The Hilliard Civic and Cultural Arts Center was selected as the site of a new community mural, created by artist Mandi Caskey, Hilliard City Schools teacher Amanda Schaeffer and her Art and Ecology students. The mural came about through an Ohio Arts Council grant written by Amanda to engage students in art beyond their classroom. This mural is truly a community mural as it has also involved the City of Hilliard through the Hilliard Public Arts Commission, and the maintenance department of Hilliard who will be installing the work. The Hilliard Arts Council provided funding for the wood base, paint and brushes for the work.  Community involvement also includes Sherwin Williams who gave a deep discount for paint and supplies.    STUDENT ART VIRTUAL EXHIBIT There was to be an art exhibit from the Art and Ecology students to be installed at the HAC Gallery for a May 3rd unveiling of the mural which has evolved into a virtual display of their work that can be found...

Covid-19 Response April 2020

Due to the ongoing strict social distancing rules in place in the state of Ohio and to protect HAC staff, volunteers, and community members, the Hilliard Civic & Cultural Arts Center (HCCAC) will remain closed until further notice. All activities consisting of multiple people of the Hilliard Arts Council have been postponed until at least May 1, 2020. The planned production of The Laramie Project previously scheduled for April 17-19 and April 24-26 of 2020 will be postponed until the spring of 2021. Adult and Children’s choral concerts previously scheduled for April 29th and May 3rd respectively will be postponed until October 04, 2020.
