Art Fair
HILLIARDFEST
This September 13th and 14th marks the seventh year of the Hilliard Art Fair and
the 22nd consecutive gathering on Old Hilliard Day.
This year the two events return to the Franklin County Fairgrounds and Historic Weaver
Park for two days, and are sporting a new combined name, Old Hilliardfest. The Festival
has grown from humble beginnings on Main Street in Old Hilliard, to an event second only
in size to the Fourth of July in Hilliard. The move to Weaver Park has now allowed the
Northwest Franklin County Historical Soc. to open the historic village and museums on
Festival Days and showcase this important feature of our community.
The Street Fair, hosted by the
Hilliard Civic Association, has a midway of vendors and
a great variety of food and fun for all ages. There’s a Custom Car Show, Games for Kids,
Inflatable “Jumpies”, and Carnival Rides. There is Live Music all day on the “Main Street”
stage from some of the area’s best Jazz, Bluegrass, R&B and Funk Bands. On the Community
or “Off Street” stage on Saturday some of Hilliard’s finest dance, gymnastic, and martial
arts groups and on Sunday, Church at 10:00 and Ecumenical gathering all day.
Each year The Old Hilliard Art Fair Assoc. with the Hilliard Arts Council holds a juried art
show for professional artists. This gathering of talents from Ohio and surrounding states
provides the opportunity for residents of Hilliard and neighboring towns exposure to art
they normally wouldn’t get. The selection of Art represents all media and is of the highest
quality.
Artists Application
For more information click here
to download a PDF brochure containing an artists application. The Art Fair is open
to all artists who exhibit and sell work of traditional or contemporary design.
No commercial molds or manufactured artwork will be accepted. All work must be for
sale and have prices clearly marked. The Art Fair site offers grass with shade as
well as blacktop and is adjacent to the Historical Village, with activities sponsored
by the Northwest Franklin County Historical Society.
Set-up Assistance
Hilliard Arts Council provides set-up help and booth sitting for the artists. To
help out with this contact Ken Brenneman at 614-527-4407 or e-mail him at

Children's Art Activities
One of the highlights of the Old Hilliard Art and Street Fair for many children
is the hands-on art activities. There are several ways you can help out:
- If you are a business or organization you can provide your own art activity or give
a monetary donation to sponsor a new activity.
- If you are an individual or organization you can provide volunteer help for the
activities.
